Organize and conduct scientific meetings and instructional workshops

Organizer of a workshop entitled “Advances in Laser Heated Diamond Anvil Cell” held at Advanced Photon Source, May 25-28, 2000.  75 scientists from 8 countries attended the workshop. A special issue was published from the workshop in Review of Scientific Instruments (vol. 72, 2001);

AGU, AIRAPT session convener.

Develop state-of-the-art research techniques available to a broad user community

Responsible beamline scientist for the diamond cell program at the GeoSoilEnviroCARS at the Advanced Photon Source, a well regarded national user facility.

Promote collaborative research by facilitating access to the instrumentation

Working with more than 70 outside users with more than 40 publications in the past 4 years.
